Do You See What I See?

I just have to share what happened the other day! IT truly was something you wouldn't even believe unless you were there. Let me set the scene... It's was another really hot day! I think it was 100 degrees out. I was trying to maintain energy to play with TY outdoors, but the heat was tackling me to the ground, literally. After about five minutes, I decided to lay on the ground in my driveway. While looking up at the clouds and enjoying the marvelous beauty, TY decided to join me. I said, "Let's look at the clouds in the sky and see if we can find one that looks like some thing!" Never thinking he really could even grasp what I was talking about, we both lied in silence for about 30-60 seconds. It was then that I discovered a cloud that looked like a crab. I figured there was absolutely NO way TY would see it my way, so I decided to think more simplistically... for him. At that moment, all of the sudden, Ty exclaims, "Hey mom, that cloud looks like a crab!" I was absolutely flabbergasted. How on God's creation did Tyson and I created a cloud that appeared to look like a crab out of all the clouds and things on this earth. I SWEAR on the Heavens and Earth, this is a true story. I guess you can say that Tyson and I saw eye to eye that day!

More Clips of Ty's LIfe....

Darren, Ty and I witness an alligator feeding at Alligator Adventure. Even with a huge down pour of rain, it was quite the show. We really were fascinated by it!!!!

TY has a fight with his big brother, Ninja due to a bit of competition on the tennis court! He even lost his temper with Ninja towards the end and hit him because Ninja grabbed the ball before he did. Imagine if he had a real brother or sister.

Daddy and Ty play on our new slip and slide. What a way to cool off on such a hot day!

The Latest "Clips" of Ty's Life!!!!

Ty dances to one of his favortie songs off of his birthday soundtrack, "Let's Go Surfing!"

Ty's "A Big Boy Now!"

With less than 5 days until Tyson's 3rd birthday, Ty finally got his big boy furniture. We purchased it weeks ago, at Furniture Land South, but it didn't arrive until yesterday. It really helped create a big boy atompshere. We're just waiting on a fun bedspread, some artwork, and curtains, which will complete the look of his room. We had the walls painted green, his favorite, and had our painter put a chocolate brown, horizontal band around the room. It looks really nice, now, with the furniture. We may need Carlene's finishing touches though :)

Ty tested out the big boy bed last night and did great! We didn't even use side rails and he remained on the bed all night long.

Yeah for Tyson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the "baby" furniture in the other room, Daddy is trying to get me to agree to another. I'm not sure I will ever be able to commit to that :)

Mommy Goes on Vacation ALONE!

For the first time, since Leonna's baby shower, I left Ty alone with Darren to attend my mother's graduatioin, in Florida. I tried hard to make Darren's "single parenthood" a breeze by preparing meals (made ahead of time), cleaning the house, cutting up mounds of fruit, creating an agenda and finally, to picking out and ironing Tyson's outfits from Friday through Monday. After I laid out the outfits, I did look at it and had to laugh. Preparing for my departure was simple and I knew if I didn't make it easy on Darren I wouldn't be able to enjoy my vacation as well. I arrived home yesterday. Ty and Daddy greeted me, at the airport, with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. They both seemed to miss me, but definitely did survive without me while I was gone. Surprise, surprise!!

Ty's FIRST rollercoaster ride.

Tyson had a blast as he experienced his very first rollercoaster ride. I was definitely MORE nervous than Ty about him testing it out. I declined the invite, but Daddy and Ty definitely took advantage of how empty the park was and waisted no time riding it again and again. It would probably be an understatement to say that Tyson and Darren rode it over 20 times.

And they're OFF............... He barely met the height requirements!

Up, Up, and Away.............. Ty yelled, "Faster, faster, fater, daddy!"

It went so fast! I was dying to know how Ty was handeling it.

Myrtle Beach Videos

While on our most recent trip, I took a few videos clips, with my camera, of our "vacation". Enjoy viewing them!

Dancing Fools!

Enjoy a few clips of my "boys" dancing.

The first clip was taken two days after we returned home from our beach trip. We were having a lax day while unpacking. I think Ty was in his pjs until noon.

The second clip was taken in our basement during our nightly routine of playtime. Please, please, please IGNORE, the horrible decorating down there. We sold our old basement furniture and we are waiting for Carlene to design the room for us before we start purchasing furniture. :) Right now, it's just a gigantic playroom. Ty loves it, but we are very anxious to get it decorated.

Sometimes You Just Have to Laugh!

It's been my experience, especially lately, that sometimes you just have laugh during those times you'd rather be screaming or pulling your hair out. This blog entry is a GREAT example of what I am talking about. I have a sneaking suspicion that age 3 is going to be even more challenging, demanding, and trying than age 2 was. Despite all of those difficult times, Tyson has really become one of my great companions. He's full of all entertaining conversations, interesting ways of appreciating the world and all the things that live in it, and he has forced me to "let my hair down" and laugh a little. However, that's not to say I still don't flip out or pull my hair out somedays. Man is this the hardest job in the world.

Enjoy the pictures below. Tyson was caught with his pants down, literally. We were outside and he decided to run inside to use the potty. I guess he had to go so bad (it was 7:30 pm and he hadn't gone since 1:00 pm) that he just couldn't make it to the toilet bowl in time. By the time we entered the house to check on him, we realized that he was trying to clean up the mess before we could see it. How funny!

TyToo Fun!!!!

Today, while running a few errands, we discovered someone left their already purchased tatoo behind, at the "Dollar Tree". The cashier offered it to Ty and needless to say, he was more than thrilled. I wasn't planning on putting it on him, but he didn't have to know that :) Unfortunately, Tyson forgets nothing and he reminded me, almost 5 hours later, to apply it to his chest. For some reason, Ty refuses to put tatoos on his arm or face, but rather insists on having them on his chest. Here's a little "TyToo" (aka Tatoo) Friday night fun from our home to yours!!!!!
